My Name is Lucy Barton: From Page to Stage

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Elizabeth Strout, and award-winning actress Laura Linney, discuss bringing the beloved novel My Name is Lucy Barton to the stage. Broadway previews begin Jan 6.

Award-winning actress Laura Linney returns to Broadway in Manhattan Theatre Club's production of a haunting new solo play adapted by Rona Munro from the bestselling novel by Elizabeth Strout.

A sold-out sensation originally produced by the London Theatre Company at the Bridge Theatre in London, Ms Linney was hailed as "luminous" by the The New York Times, "genuinely phenomenal" by Time Out London, and the play was called "deeply affecting and heartbreaking" by The Observer.

The Guardian: Bridge Theatre's LUCY "beautifully nuanced"

Elizabeth Strout’s first-person narrative, longlisted for the Man Booker prize in 2016 … fits perfectly on the stage. That’s partly because of the quality of the writing and partly because of a beautifully nuanced solo performance by Laura Linney.
